Folk-tale Inspired Bayaya is Coming Soon to Steam Early Access

The folk-tale inspired and non-violent adventure Bayaya is coming soon to Early Access on Steam. The game combines 3D with point-and-click mechanics. It invites players to a vast and procedurally generated world as they take on various tasks while also getting to experience that unique wooden toy aesthetic.

The game follows the story of a prince who, fed up with court politics, decides to leave the castle and tries to make a name for himself. Despite having noble blood, he makes the decision not to have an easier life. As such, the prince decides to speak just one word and that is Bayaya. He also learns that there is a great danger coming to the land.

Bayaya is based on a Czech fairytale of the same name. It's a fairytale-like story that's meant to be enjoyed by everyone. This procedurally generated open world is always exciting to discover especially since there’s always something to do.

Charming Story

For those who wanted to once again feel the childlike joy of experiencing a fairytale, then this is the game for them. It's set in a light fantasy setting and players explore the land and experience a simple and fun story.

Toylike Looks

Bayaya is inspired by the toys from the childhood of the dev team. This is the main reason why they choose that very specific art style. In particular, it brings to mind wooden toys and early 90s graphics.

Combat Mechanics

The game features a combat system that's based on the German school of swordfighting. Players need to plan out their moves, look for openings, and strike when the time’s right.

Extreme Modability

The game’s engine is very easy to mod and create new assets and stories for. Players only need basic programming skills, especially those who want to make their own stories and share them with others.
