CAPCOM has launched a Design Contest in Monster Hunter Wilds. Players are invited to come up with their original design for a weapon and pendant.
The entry period for the Design Contest runs from June 3 to June 24. The studio is accepting weapon and pendant designs for hunters appearing in Monster Hunter Wilds via X (formerly Twitter). They'll be accepting designs from four regions which are Japan, the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Once the entry period is done, there's going to be two rounds of judging. The first round is scheduled sometime after the submission deadline, which should be after June 25. Staff at the studio are the ones to review the entries submitted from each region. They'll be choosing 20 Hunter Weapons and 20 Pendants to pass the first round of judging.
The second round of judging is Player Voting. The 20 hunter weapon designs and 20 pendant designs that passed the first round are going to be posted on the Monster Hunter Wilds website. Players then are asked to vote for their favorites. The top 8 weapon designs and top 8 pendant designs are going to be selected based on the number of votes received. The announcement is scheduled on July 25.
Once these two rounds are done, the Monster Hunter Wilds development team then chooses one winner from each category. Results are to be announced on September 27.
Prizes
A Grand Prize winner is to be selected from the top entries in the Weapon Category and Pendant Category. The best hunter weapon design and best pendant design are to be implemented and distributed in the game. For those who don't get the Grand Prize but made it through the selections, they'll be given Excellence Awards.
