Gone Fission Update Has Arrived to Fallout 76

A new update for Fallout 76 has gone live. It's dubbed as "Gone Fission" as in addition to new content, kicked off Season 21.

The Gone Fission update introduces fishing to the game along with an exciting new interactive feature. No matter where they are in Appalachia, they'll be able to cast off and reel in a plethora of fish. These include the likes of the Noxious Sawgill, Bloodwhisker, Glowing Gulpy, and even rare axolotls, to name a few. Learn more about fishing here.

Fishing-Themed Rewards

Season 21 introduces a lot of fishing-themed rewards that can be redeemed using Season Tickets. There are new sports outfits available especially for those who are going to be consistently on the water. Players can also get their hands on items like the Gone Fission Neon Sign, which is perfect when it comes to illuminating any cozy riverside lodge or ramshackle fish market C.A.M.P. They can even get a Houseboat and spend their time on the water in this nearly seaworthy vessel.

Be sure to get a Basket of Dead Fish, which is something that any fishmonger’s C.A.M.P. should have. Players can customize their fishing rod with the Ruby Reel Fishing Rod Paint.

Balance Changes

Aside from new content, this most recent update also brings with it balance changes for the game. The one for the Harpoon Gun are:

  • Base Damage has increased from 175 -> 245
  • Barbed Mod: Range now matches base weapon and Bleed length lasts 15 seconds. Damage per tick has also increased as well.
  • Fletchettes Mod: Range now matches the base weapon and Fletchettes now get a 20% buff to damage.
  • Reload Speed increased by 10%
  • Ammo Capacity increased from 1 to 3
  • Delay between shots increased by 25%
  • Crit Mult increased from 2 to 2.5
  • Sneak Mult increased from 2 to 2.25
  • Weight Decreased from 16 to 14
