Flight of the Amazon Queen

Well, well, well. What have we here ? Ladies and gentlemen, it's a hybrid. Take a little Indy 4, just a tad of Monkey Island and a bit of every other game out there. Shake well, and voila. There you have it: Flight of the Amazon Queen.

Story

We play the role of Joe King, a pilot for hire. After escaping from a hot situation in Buenos Aires Joe remembers that he has to take his favorite actress (Faye Russel) to the amazon jungle. Unfortunately after picking her up, he crashes right in the middle of the jungle. Meanwhile, somewhere else in the amazon jungle, an evil scientist is trying to take over the world by changing amazons into dinosaurs. Can you guess the rest?

Opinion

There isn't one bad thing I could write about this game. It isn't very original but the graphics (very nice), the music, the story and even the 'stolen' jokes are matched together perfectly. It isn't the greatest adventure game I've seen, but it's very good. The only reason why it isn't more than just 'very good', is that it doesn't really have a decent story. And if a game doesn't have a story then it needs to be more than just funny. It needs to be hilarious (at least). And this game isn't (although the gorilla in the jungle was a nice piece of work).

A very good game all around.
