Leisure Suit Larry 2 - Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places)

The leisure suit swinger is back! The title may have changed (these titles seem to be getting longer and longer) but Larry hasn't. This time the prince of polyester gets into a little bit more trouble than usual, but with our help, he's invincible.

Story

At the end of the first episode it seemed that our hero finally managed to find true love with Eve (by giving her an apple; hmmm I wonder where they got that idea), but things change. And this time maybe more rapidly than he would expect them to. When we first see our hero again he's mowing the lawn (he's what?). Then suddenly Eve comes home in a red sports car and doesn't seem to remember what Larry's doing. In fact she doesn't seem to remember Larry at all, so she gives him ten minutes to get out of her house (and her life). So once again, we begin our adventure on a happy note. Oh, I almost forgot. In addition to finding another true love, we'll also get into trouble with the KGB and save a little tropical island called Nontoonyt, but I don't wanna give away too much.

Opinion

This game is quite different from Larry 1. The story is much more serious (it's not really, but you can die almost anywhere and that makes one a little more cautious). The graphics are high resolution EGA now and they look 'much' better. The music is still practically non-existent but at least now it sounds bad on a soundcard, not the speaker. The game itself got longer, but it lost some of its humor in the process. I don't mean to say it's not funny any more, but I hate always being caught by the KGB or getting smashed by mama (oh, you'll understand later when you get to the ship part).
