Leisure Suit Larry 3 - Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals

Larry's back! (Again.) Our leisure suit hero is in trouble again (as always) and we're the ones that have to get him back on track. Of course this means hunting for women and basically being disappointed all the time. But why not? We love it.

Story

Larry now lives with his wife -- Kalalau on the island of Nontoonyt. One day when he comes home, Kalalau won't let him into the house. What's more, she decided to divorce our leisure suit hero and since on this island walking three times around your bed means you're divorced, Larry is single again. To top that, Kalalau already has a new love (Bobbi) which isn't too flattering for Larry, since Bobbi happens to be a GIRL. After this little incident Larry goes to work (Natives Inc.) to finally find a little comfort. As soon as he gets through the door the boss sends for him. Oh, I should mention that our boss is Kalalau's father. So ultimately our adventure begins after getting fired and divorced and cheated in about 10 minutes.

Opinion

It's pretty hard to write about Larry 3, if you've already played Larry 7. Obviously the game isn't really up to date and there's no VGA version of it either (to the best of my knowledge). Considering how old it is, it must have been a great game but I couldn't really enjoy it now. The music is nothing to get excited about, the graphics are EGA and the story is pretty basic. In this one you still have to type the commands instead of using a mouse and that doesn't help much either. I hate it when I have to get closer to an item to pick it up. Anyway. It was a very good game and it's part of the Larry series, so it's definitely worth a look if nothing else.
