Leisure Suit Larry 5 - Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work

Well, well, well. What have we here? A new Larry game. What? Larry 5?!! What happened to Larry 4? Did I miss it? Oh. No, I didn't. And neither did you, but you should miss Larry 5. It was a huge disappointment.

Story

Larry finds himself working for a company (PornProdCorp) that has some heavy connections to the mafia and is currently looking for the sexiest woman in America. They already have three candidates, but they have to hold blind auditions, because they need a woman so oversexed, that she would drop everything (!) even for a complete dork. That's when Larry comes into the picture. Oh, and for those of you who are wondering what happened to Larry after Larry 3; well here's the answer: he has amnesia and he doesn't remember anything (including Larry 4).

The other storyline (yes, there are two of them) concerns Patti. She sings in a club that is (of course) also connected to the mob. After she gets fired, she decides to take revenge and she gets help from the FBI.

Opinion

What should I write about this? The story itself could even be funny (although I assure you, it's not), but where are the jokes? I couldn't find one good, healthy, sexist joke all throughout the entire game! The quality of the graphics would do, but they're boring and repeat themselves. For example all three airports look exactly the same. There are very few places to go to, and the puzzles are really dull. Another problem: you can get STUCK by missing something earlier on in the game! I don't mind if you can die in a game (well, I do mind, but it's acceptable), but here you don't die you just get stuck and can't go back without restoring a game saved earlier.

This is definitely the low point of the Larry series.
