A new update has been released for The Elder Scrolls Online. Update 46 is a free base-game patch available to all players. It introduces a series of new features, improvements, and fixes.
One of the highlights is the addition of the new Subclassing System. This allows players to mix and match up to two different class skill lines with their existing characters. It unlocks new realms of customizability for the builds and playstyles of players.
To get started with the Subclassing system, players need to have one character that is at level 50. They can then pick up the short system quest to begin and build a unique character.
In a post, Lead Combat Designer Brian Wheeler revealed that this has been something that they've talked about for a long time. He added that this new system "leans into the core Elder Scrolls tenet" as it lets players build the character that they want.

Hero’s Return
Another interesting feature is the Hero’s Return system. It gives players the necessary tools and guidelines to help them get back into the game as quickly as possible. It offers a short quest to remind returning players of the combat basics.
The system also enables the Hero’s Return Golden Pursuits campaign and unique Login Rewards.
Furnishing Vault
Players can also look forward to the new ESO Plus benefit which is the Furnishing Vault. It allows players to store as much as 500 unique furnishing stacks in a special vault accessible for any of their homes in Tamriel.
All ESO Plus members can obtain this new collectible for free. Members can access the Furnishing Vault via the Housing Editor while home decorating or by interacting directly with the item itself.
Update 46 arrives to the game alongside Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1, which you can read more about here.
